I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and got to enjoy time with family and friends. I know we did ! All of the Christmas decorations are put away and I’m ready to tackle the family room windows.
I’m obsessing over blue, peacock blue in particular and Nate’s room is my inspiration. Just look at those gold rods ! *sigh

I’ve been pinning lots of blue draperies…………..

I’m loving solid panels and patterned panels both ………

I started with these four fabric choices…….
Then narrowed my choices to the Duralee Ikat on the right and a solid peacock blue like the ones below.
If I go with a solid then I could add an orange trim detail like this.

I have the motorized drapery track from Somfy and the wood pole fascia is painted gold now I just need to order the fabric and make the ripplefold panels.

Tammy- I'm partial to the solid blue. So classic, and I love the look in Nate's room.
Sigh - did you hear that they didn't pick up his show for next season? I am so sad...

My tree is still up! Will be up till Three Kings Day, January 6!
Pretty blue, Tammy. I can't wait to see how they turn out. I go back and forth with solids and patterns. I guess solids are the "safe" choice but some of the patterns available are just so pretty. I like the idea of compromise lately ~ introducing a little bit of pattern along with the solid.
Ooooohhhhh, orange trim detail! That gets my vote!!!
I love ikats....so vote for the Duralee! It's a hard choice: they both look great and give a slightly different feel to the room. Solid just doesn't seem very, what?, exciting? maybe. Although the orange trim would be gorgeous. I am sure whichever you choose will look beautiful!
Happy New Year Tammy!
I vote for a pattern in the living room. Love the ikat in the middle.
Wishing you a happy 2012!

You can't lose with any of those choices. All good ones but I like the ikat in the middle too! It would give the room a punch which I think would be great! You can still punch some orange in there with pillows...
Tammy I adore the solid with a wonderful trim! I just think it is more versatile and then add pillows in the pattern you like best!
A very Happy New Years to you and yours!

I LOVE Nate's room - one of my all time favorites. This is a great collection of blue curtains, too...they are all lovely. New follower here. PS - thanks for your sweet comment today!!

I like the prints on either end. I tend to go with prints on my windows because my furniture is solid. I love the idea of adding orange, as that's the color I've been crushing on lately. Oh, thanks for letting my know you like your Nikon. Several people said those were more difficult to use...
Hi, Tammy. I've been into that blue, lately, too -- somewhere between peacock and turquoise! I also love your Schumacher Chang Mai Dragon throw pillow. I've had a wallpaper memo of that pattern pinned up on the wall of my studio for a few months now.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your nice words about my design.
Hi Tammy! I could have sworn I was a 'follower' of yours before, but when I went to sign in, I had to 're-follow' you(?) Oh well, glad to be a follower again! I love the Ikat, I think it looks beautiful in the room and is just a gorgeous fabric. The blue looks almost like a faux denim to me and hence a bit dated? That's my first impression anyway - since you asked! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! Good luck with your project! I'm dying to do something to my own house one of these days.

What beautiful fabrics! Personally I go for pattern almost everytime. So I'm loving the ikat! Gorgeous!
I'm curious about the term ripplefold. That's a new one for me.
Blue is seriously hot right now! In my last decorating class I had 6 women pull magazine pages that inspired them....they were all turquoise, navy and teal colored. I love it!
