Drape Remake

When I made these draperies a few years ago I used the back side of the fabric because I liked it better.  Now I'm trying to lighten and brighten my family room so I decided to take these apart and use the reverse side. 
BEFORE:

DURING: New panel on the left, old one on the right.

AFTER:
It's rainy and gloomy here today so I can't take another pic showing the whole window.  I would love to slipcover to sofa in an off white but I'm afraid I would be washing it every week !
I think I might be repainting.  Any suggestions for color ?

    I love the fact that these curtains were reversable! It's great that you were able to get a totally different look for free.

    Oh yes. Good move I like the new draperies! I would suggest a nice cream color for the walls.
    BTW- I heard High point had a tornado. I know you are about 45 minutes away but hope all is well Dorthy!

    Definitely not an easy fix, but an economical one! Now, if you could invent a way to make pleated draperies truly reversible, THAT would be a real money maker. They look beautiful, both ways.

    I hear ya on the slipcovers. White will never work for me (and I don't have kids at home) but I'm thinking a nice subtle, tone-on-tone tan print could be the ticket!

    Good luck with your painting. Just did it!

    Great curtains...I love that funky fabric too! Thanks for stopping by Frugalicious Friday last week. Our cabinets got their first coat of black primer today. I'll be posting the kitchen progress tomorrow!

    Thanks for the nice feedback.... Remakes are my least favorite thing to do because there is so much more work involved but it did save me money !

    Those window treatments just pop now!!! A white slipcover? I know what ya mean about washing it. But really you might find that it doesn't get as dirty as you would think. I had a very used and abused white slip covered chair in my LR. I didn't have to wash it that often. It's still in great condition some 15 years later!

    I can't believe how different it looks with the other side showing. I like the new side. I'm lightening things up around here too.
    I went with Latte and Nomadic Desert. (Sherwin Williams)
    I'm happy with it.

    I know you'll pick the perfect color. I think that lighter circle in that pattern on your drapes would be great. It will blend with your rug, couch (as is or with a slip cover).

    I do agree/think that a cream color slipcover in heavy cotton or canvas would be the best way to lighten the entire room... and a nice creamy yellow for the walls. How about "Lime White" from Farrow & Ball? I know, their paint is expensive, but a paint store can also match the formula! Like that you have crisp white woodwork.

    I would say much lighter since you are going for the white look, looks so lovely what you've done with the coordinating white cushions, we all want a white sofa these days (I do too).

    Tammy, I love how you brightened your space with the lighter window treatments! In addition, I think it's fabulously "green" of you to recycle the fabric, rather than creating new window treatments. Well done! And for the record, your walls do NOT look like they have been overly spray tanned. Haha. And in terms of a new shade for your walls, I second Maria, our resident "Queen of Color". :) White sofa... yes indeed, I understand completely with 3 children still at home, plus three dogs. TRICKY, at best! Good luck!

    Loving the flip side of the curtains! You could try a more goldy color (looking at the curtains) for the walls! Love your color palette that you currently have though!

    While I liked the reverse of your fabric, I think turning them right side out was a terrific idea. It really is a great print for draperies! For wall colour, I can totally see a paler version of what you have - a warm, gold. Looking forward to seeing what you do next!
