Why you should work with an interior designer Part 2

Because they have access to “to the trade” fabrics like Schumacher’s Chiang Mai Dragon.  It comes in many color ways, here it is in mocha.

Now for the afters…………..

BG CUSTOM WINDOWS

I made these euro pleated panels for a designer and her client. They are lined with a napped sateen, it has lining on one side and interlining on the other.  I always use lining plus interlining or the napped sateen to give body and protection from the sun.

                            BG CUSTOM WINDOWS

In the kitchen nook, I made straight valances with pleats on the corners and decorative braid at the top.

BG CUSTOM WINDOWS

Custom window treatments can be the single most important element in pulling together your decorating scheme.

Beautiful, Tammy! The fabric is so vibrant and I especially love the valances. I'm guessing the kitchen and family room are open to each other here, so using the same fabric in different treatments is a nice way to tie it all together.

If people could see custom drapes up next to ready-mades there would be no contest. I so appreciate what you guys in the workroom do. Everything I've seen of your is first rate! Love me some Chiang Mai Dragon too!

I enjoy looking at all the pretty winodw treatments you hae made.I have two friends that make dceorative treatments annd know how hard they work getting al the details just right.
I look forward to seeing your stirs when you get them done. Mine were pretty bad with lots of knots and rough patches. I am sure yours will look great especially with new treads.

I love this Schumacher print! I fell in love with it in design school and one day the owner of a to-the-trade-only fabric store let me take a ton of discontinued fabric and I spotted a paper Schumacher bag with the Chiang Mai Dragon print. I filled it with fabric and later tore it apart and used both sides of the bag to make a matching pair of framed art. One of my favorite things to this day! Beautiful work, as always, Tammy! (And you're right- one of many great reasons to work with a designer)

That's such a great idea ! (love free art) I framed a small piece of Schumacher's Zanzibar fabric to go in my gallery wall.

Tammy, I love your work! I would really like to work with you. Is that possible? Do you work with out of town clients?

OH.MY.GOD. Panels...in Chiang Mai Dragon. What a luxury, I love it! I'm in the process of reupholstering some Louis style dining room chairs and will be using this same fabric in the aqua colorway for just the back. It's about all my wallet can handle at the moment but I love that I'll be able to get a peak of it whenever I look in the dining room!
