Tablescape Thursday

I'm participating in my first Tablescape Thursday over at Between Naps on the Porch.
When I blogged about my birthday dishes, Maria at Colour me Happy suggested I do Tablescape Thursday and I was a newbie and didn't even know what that was !

I must be the only person in bloggyland that doesn't have fall decortations ! I managed to find a few things that were kind of fallish. The vegetable rabbit is a leftover from when I was a vase collector and I don't even know where the veggie cups came from. I went to Joann's to buy foam last week and tried to force myself to buy some fall decorations but the only thing I left with was orange tic tacs !
You can see my roman shades in the breakfast nook have monkeys on them (Teto and Jerome) I have a thing for monkeys. One day I'll do a monkey post and show you all of them around my house. Then I'll be known as the crazy monkey lady.
Since I don't actually have any napkins or rings, I just went up to my workroom this morning and made these from some scrap fabric and fringe.
Thanks for stopping by !

I think this is so lovely!!! I like monkeys too and have a monkey blog with sock monkey adventures. I love the colors on your table!! I have some bowls similar to those--mine might be a bit larger and we love love them for lots of things and they keep food hot!! I am on vacation so I put up a weird scape--got to go hiking now!! So you just whipped up those napkins, did you? : ) They look great and I love the color. They go great with your bamboo mats and the orange in the bunny vase. Yes, I would love to see your roman shades fully and your monkey collection. I did a purple and green fabric with cute monkeys on it for a tuffet I made for my daughter's room several years ago. I just loved the fabric! You could do a Monkey party and we could link up our monkey things!

This is fantastic -- GREAT dishes, and lovely napkins, too -- I was thinking how well they went with the setting, and then read that you made them this morning. Oh, my .. that is something I would do, too -- kindred spirits!
Lovely table -- love that bunny!!

Love the big dog? What kind is it? I have two dogs, a 90 lb mix and a 150 lb English Mastiff.

Tammy,

This is a great tablescape!! I persoanlly think the best are when you have to come up with something spur of the moment or 'make do'! And you did!! lol!!

I love the monkeys! And I love your retro table. Great post!

A bit of advice for me~I just bought a sewing machine, not even out of the box (Sewing virgin??) I'm veeeery nervous. What is the hardest thing about learning to sew and how will I most likely screw up?

Thanks Tammy!!
