Mirrored Armoire

I'm participating in Cheri's Knock Off Knock Out at It's so Very Cheri and
Metamorphosis Monday at Between Naps on the Porch. So head over to these ladies blogs and check out all the great projects.

I found a mirrored armoire in the Ballard catalog about 2 years ago that I fell in love with. Well, by the time I got around to ordering it..................it was discontinued ! I was heart broken !
So, after pouting about it for a day or two I decided that I could make one.
I headed to High Point and bought a black computer armoire and then I took the doors off and brought them to a local glass shop. They cut pieces of glass to fit into each section and ta da now I have one just as fabulous for about $ 600.00 less than the Ballard one.

Love it! Did you put the decorative wood pieces over the mirror? You changed your blog design? Looks good!

Thank you..... the wood design was part of the door so in total there were 20 pieces of mirror.

I am so disappointed-the pictures aren't showing. I'll have to come back over later but it sound like - from all the comments- it came out great.

Thank you for posting to the party.

Hey Tammy:

Can you get in touch with me about the Its So Very Cottagey tour. I was wondering if you would be available to do the Oct 9th tour. I would need the info by Sept 30.
If so I will e-mail you the info. I am trying to work ahead so I have everything done before we leave to go out of town.

Oh I love what you did to the doors :-) Doesn't it feel great when you can get something you love at a fraction of the cost?

The doors look great - and to think for $600 less! You can't beat it - I love the mirrors.

I have a designer friend who did this to her old china hutch. I think you are both so clever!
