My Cottagey Home Tour

Thanks Cheri at Its So Very Cheri for having me participate in her Cottagey Home Tour !

Welcome to my home, come on in and have a look around. As of yesterday it officially feels like fall in NC.

I replaced a tiny patio in the back with a large stamped concrete one. I picked out the shape of the patio, the pattern and the colors. You can see a few more pictures HERE.

This my foyer........ The bench has moved around with me and been covered in many fabrics over the years. Every foyer needs a happy doggie to greet you at the end of the day, her name is Zoe. The picture hanging above the bench has a stone statue of a lion inside of it.
(Yes, Leos live here !)

This room I call the study because that's where the computer is located. I just recently painted it BM Beacon Hill, ordered plantation shutters and made Drapery panels with grommets at the top. I hung them on a 1" wrought iron pole. The sofa table was pewter, I painted it to match the rod. You can read about my mirrored armoire project HERE.

The powder room is split pea green and it is too hard to photograph because it's so tiny. Mr. Stitches gave me this decorative vanity for my birthday one year and my Dad installed it for me ! It's so much better than the white pedestal that was there.

The family room is painted BM Dark Mustard. I made the draperies out of a fabric that I found on sale in a local store, I liked the back side better so I used it instead ! There is a large archway into the kitchen and breakfast nook. There is a close up of the table HERE for Tablescape Thursday.

Come on upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms up here................. This is the second floor landing, we painted the railings black (they were oak).

This is my son's room, we did so many fun projects in here. We painted the furniture, made skateboard valances and bookshelves and made the headboard. You can see more pics HERE .

Here we are at the master suite, there is a slight Asian feel to the room. I taped off the horizontal lines and painted the two darker stripes. You can see step by step how we applied the cherry blossom tree wall decal HERE .

The spaaaaah bathroom ! I purchased these sinks and vanities from Home Decorators Collection and my Dad helped me take out the stock cabinet, mirror and landing strip light and replace them with these. The chandelier over the tub was a birthday present from my Mom.

And finally we're on the 3rd floor........... my workroom. I have a 12' long table and 4 commercial sewing machines to make custom draperies. One day I'll do a whole post on my workroom ( meaning when it's clean!)

Thanks so much for looking around, ya'll come back !

Kathy suggested I link this to the last Hooked on Houses tour too !

My goal is to have 100 followers by Halloween. If I reach that goal I'm going to do a fabric giveaway. So please, please click on that button on the left that says follow !! Thank You !

I will make mention of your follower goal and give-a-way. I want to win that material--ooh lala.

That cherry tree is fantastic! And the stripes are so simple, but make such a huge impact. Gorgeous home.
